weak in English, who is strong, we aren`t here for Pulitzer competition, as long as my scribble reach you and your thoughts in words received by me - that`s language. Just a vehicle for communication.
Gann or Fibonacci they are very good analytical tools like moving average or momentum indicators like RSI, ROC, STOCHASTIC S, bollinger band or any other tool one might wish to use.
The most important of all is, any tool must be easy to use and quick to infer change in direction. Also, this tool must have atleast 60 per cent consistency.
Despite all these rules, we are like handful monkey`s peanuts which is struck inside the cage bars - unless the monkey leaves the peanuts it can`t be freed from the cage bars. This is absolutely true to our losing positions, unless we getout of our losing positions we can`t be freed. And this should be quickly done.
Let`s not be happy with the rhetoric "Long Term". In the Long run (thanks to UM) we all are dead. It is happy to note LT, HLL, ITC, INFY, WIPRO gave mindboggling returns. But what about WIMCO, HDIL(who bought at 1400), SILVERLINE tech(nasdaq listed company) and many more.
Technical rules whichever one wish to follow, he should do so for selling. Everyone buy on TA, but sell on his will or emotional panic or do not sell at all even if these indicators cautions sell.
For me moving averages are best. Specially moving average crossovers for long term investors with 200 DMA and 89 DMA. Also, one should wait for confirmation on sell buy side signals with a 3 percent stop loss.
Unfortunately this post went like a novel. sincerely regret.

ipo of 3i infotech came at 100+ rupees, promoted by icici bank. the year the ipo came, icici bank through its broker arm icici direct gave short term target of 150 and long term target of 300 terming it as multibagger. Some how icici bank by using its influence also got 3i infotech registered in futures and options segment. After this icici bank started shorting 3i infotech in futures and systematically started bringing the price of 3i infotech down by conniving with the management of 3i infotech by manipulating its results. It was when they brought the share price down from 135 to level of 12 within two years that icici bank again using its influence got 3i infotech out of futures and options segment. For those who feel that icici bank has got 20% share of 3i infotech are being fooled by the bank because they have earned far far more by shorting 3i infotech and also through the preferential shares dividend which they got as Rs 5 every year from 3i infotech for their 20% holding.
