I agree with youve need a hybrid system no established theories of Socialism Communism or 100% Free Market will work in our Country . As the Boarder below pointed out rightly, our aim should be providing equal opportunity and not freebies which is Socialism and actually welfare beyond socialism.. Only a Self-sustaining Economy can prosper and for that everyone has to contribute to its functioning. We can not have just one part pulling along the rest.. Everyone must and should lend their hand, and they will if we provide means to do so, but are we ? Is MNREGA or Food Security or other G@ndhi named Schemes providing opportunity of Growth or opportunity of Vote Bank ? In 5 years when a government borrows 300% more than before and counting, questions need to be asked have we gone too far ? Ofcourse we have, We need to provide inclusive Growth but that can not come all of a sudden in 1 year launch 100k Crores MNREGa it has to be gradual and planned, planned for economy nto votes and used efficiently, currently that money is a waste and im sure a lot of money is being wasted and adding up to the Fiscal Deficit ....
