UM,I have noticed in the past that we need not need FII net buy figures to rally in the very short term . But the trend is clear and it is downwards....

hello sir
from market pov, its a buy, it has a nice support @ 60 levels and it has fallen a lot!
they have a nice portfolio in telecom sector, networks, spectrum, phones, data card, etc etc and they are doing good every where! personally i use net connect which is best i have come across!
but they have a large debt, which they are trying to clear off by tower sale, etc and they can do it easily too! as they have a lot of leverage!
and they will do very good in 4g too, but what do you think about this 2g sectrum, do you think trai will lower its prices! i think they should!
power sectors looks to be in too much trouble, ntpc blaming coal inida and stuff, i think rpower should take a hit!lol...

DII is making a lot of money this time. I feel FII in coming days going to live SBI and Larsen for us(Retailers) only to trade. Today, they had sold SBI and Larsen...I have no doubt. But why DII are buying SBI & Larsen?
Please Clarify?

you dont you consider Germany good! i like them as they are our aryan brother somehow!
i think they are the best mind in engineering fields, compared to none, ofcourse jews are exceptional @ everything!
japan on other and are more of copy cats! and certainly there is lot of wrong doing in the yen that they have, it is so much manipulated!...

i get the idea, i think pppl are so fed up in markets, now they are buying into treasury! its not that difficult in US, as they are well informed and stuff! i mean i think dumb ppl are getting n the bus now! but when there is selling they will be the last to recognize it!
but why is dollar on a run, dumb money could dictate trend but there seems to be coordination in all the things taking place!...

my take!
bunds are yielding record low yield due to the fact that some thing will go wrong in near future! that is greece getting out of the EU! spanish and italian bonds yields are sky rocketing! so basically investor are dumping every thing for german bunds, but this is only restricted to EU!
now talking about UST, i feel that FED, CHINA or JAP must be buying treasury, dont know why, but they must be buying it!
strenghtening of $ is bascially good for exporting nations, like china and all! so there must be some underlying reason for all this! maybe it is to generate growth again from china, which has been hit with a slow down as us!
things change as they like, im just trying to make some sense!lol...

Hi Saint,
Why don`t you keep visiting this thread. We have several experts here and we have debates and discussions. But a warning. We often go off on different subjects. You will find Larsen, SBI, economy, politics, religion, health and everything else discussed here. Because of that we don`t usually feel the urge to wander off except once in a while. Your contributions are welcome....

What about Reliance Communications? Its results are due tomorrow. Will it spring a positive surprise like RCapital did? I think RPower is also coming out with results tomorrow. I hold both in my DP. Not worried about these quarterly results because my DP stocks are in the red and I have stopped looking at them. Plan to sell RCom and RPower at 1000 each after two years! (Joking! I have found from experience that making long term targets is pointless.)...

FIIs were net sellers into the rally. This means the long term funds sold, since the sale was in cash. Still key stocks like SBI and Larsen rose. I am still keeping my longs in SBI and Bank Nifty. Today I was planning to sell mine in the morning but seeing that the market was not in a mood to fall I kept them. In the evening too, the markets were strong.
FIIs may know something we don`t know and may be preparing for it?? Again I am gearing up to sell on Monday but it will depend on Monday mornning\s international cues. So far the going has been good....

Whatever is going to go wrong in the future will make the Bund fall. (whether recession, stagflation, inflation with growth.) Germany is no Japan. Its economy is too much interlinked with that of Europe. ...

I read an article recently which pointed out that Dumb Money is increasingly into treasuries and that pros are going out of treasuries. Therefore just because something is going high let us not assume that governments are buying it. At the same time governments and central banks are known to do daft things. Sher Shah linked the rupee with silver when silver was at all time high. Swiss central bank sold gold in year 1999-2000 when gold was at all time low. At the height of technology bubble in March 2000, BusinessWeek brought out a cover story explaining then onwards everything would be done tech way only.
So just because Bund is at all time high let us not assume that something smart is happening out there!...

Yes, we are following the world markets. In addition, Indian stock market is under the control of smart money. Therefore you`ll find that Nifty anticipates rises and falls in world markets and moves ahead of them. ...

Exactly. What we are having is brainstorming. We present data and insights from different perspectives, some of which may not be that good and some of which may be brilliant etc. And the forum gets an overall view of what is happening and what is likely to happen. ...

Your calls turned out to be all correct so far. Congratulations. It would be great if you stay with us during bullish and bearish times.
Even otherwise it will be OK I suppose. In bullish phase, as soon as we start hearing the persistent caw caw, we`ll close our longs and initiate shorts....

No it was not staged. These things happen automatically. The world marketplace is so incredibly enmeshed together that if one moves the others adjust almost immediately.
Why I am cautious about continuance of this rally tomorrow:
1. Average volumes
2. FIIs net sellers in cash, which means probably the buyers were short term funds trading in futures and options.
3. Fear factor in Europe still solidified. Bund made another all time high today, though it did correct a bit.
4. Today`s rally was almost 2%. This sort of rally with low volumes, especially if not supported strongly by world markets, is difficult to continue the very next day.
I am still holding the long futures I entered into today morning. If the situation is bearish everywhere, I shall cut them in the morning itself rather than "hoping" for something to come by to rescue us....

Here everything is as green as can be. We are getting sporadic rains and the sky is mostly overcast.
When the monsoon finally hits things change completely. Only in the Himalayas have I experienced such intense rains as we get in Kerala. In the first tranche (from June 1) it normally rains for days together. Then there is a respite for two or three days and again rains. If there is no rain for one week at a stretch in June Met department start getting worried. The wettest month is July. "Karkatakom" month. Then you can have a full week of incessant rains. When that happens clothes won`t dry, matches won`t burn. You take anything and it feels damp. That is also the no-fishing season. That changes, August comes. Harvest season, Onam etc.
A couple of good things about the June July rainfall is that strong winds are rare. Last time we had strong winds was in 2006. Last year it was very quiet throughout. In addition there won`t be any thunder or lightning. That occurs only in Oct Nov rains because the rain bearing clouds come from Tamil Nadu. Maybe there is some language issue between the clouds that originate in the West and those coming from the East. ...
