The promoters have themselves spoiled their reputation so much that what ever they do is suspected by investors and to an extent righty so. But the increase of their stake in the company should be viewed positively as it indicates their confidence in the company. Investors have suffered because the promoters have deliberately depressed the share price so that they can substantially increase their stake at a very low price. Now having increased their stake their interest would be to increase the share price as much as possible. The time period of 18 months is the maximum permissible time but the promoters would exercise the option immediately as they had done in Jan 2012 and the share price will move up rapidly. Investors should not make the mistake of selling now. Investors having guts should even buy aggressively for large gains....
