The shares were listed at Rs 224.20 apiece on the BSE SME platform, compared with the IPO's upper price band of Rs 118 per share. This translates into a listing premium of Rs 106.20 per share, or around 90 percent.
Following the listing, the company's market capitalisation stood at around Rs 243.93 crore.
The stock's debut was broadly in line with the premium indicated by the grey market ahead of listing. Vans Electroengineering shares were commanding a grey market premium (GMP) of around Rs 106, or nearly 90 percent over the upper end of the IPO price band, according to InvestorGain data on the morning of October 7.
It is important to note that GMP is an unofficial indicator of market sentiment and does not guarantee the listing price or future performance of a stock.
The Vans Electroengineerings IPO, which closed for subscription on October 1, 2026, received an overwhelming response from investors. The issue was subscribed 628.73 times overall, according to exchange data.
The qualified institutional buyers (QIB) portion, excluding the anchor investor portion, was subscribed 281.65 times, while the non-institutional investors (NII) category saw subscription of 1,031.87 times. The portion reserved for individual investors was subscribed 686.32 times.
The Rs 33.98-crore IPO was entirely a fresh issue of shares. The price band was fixed at Rs 112-118 per share, with a lot size of 1,200 shares.
At the upper end of the price band, investors were required to invest a minimum of Rs 1,41,600 for one lot.
